Ebuildhome Shipping Policy
At Ebuildhome, we strive to provide a seamless and transparent shipping experience for our customers. Please review the information below regarding order processing, production timelines, ocean freight, final-mile delivery, customs, cancellations, and delivery inspection requirements.
1. Business Days and Calendar Days
Order processing and production timelines are stated in business days, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Ocean freight, final-mile delivery, and total delivery estimates are stated in calendar days or calendar weeks unless otherwise noted.
2. Production / Processing Time
Orders submitted through our website are typically processed within 7 - 12 business days.
Because many Ebuildhome products are custom, made-to-order, modified-size, or special-finish items, additional production time may apply depending on the product, material availability, finish, size, and order quantity.
If your order requires additional production time, we will contact you with an updated timeline.
3. Ocean Transit Time
For most large, heavy, fragile, or oversized products, including custom furniture and lighting fixtures, orders are shipped by ocean freight by default.
Estimated ocean freight transit time is 4 - 6 calendar weeks after the order has completed processing, production, and export preparation.
Ocean freight tracking may not update continuously while the shipment is at sea. Tracking activity usually resumes after customs clearance and handoff to the final-mile carrier.
Ocean freight timelines may be affected by customs clearance, port congestion, vessel schedules, weather, carrier delays, holidays, and other circumstances outside our control.
4. Final Mile Delivery Time
After the shipment arrives in the United States and clears customs, final-mile delivery will be arranged with a local carrier or trucking provider.
Final-mile delivery time may vary depending on the destination, carrier schedule, appointment availability, residential access, and whether the shipment is oversized.
U.S. customers typically receive orders within 30 - 40 calendar days from the date of order. Custom, oversized, remote-area, or ocean-freight orders may require additional time.
Total Delivery Time = Production / Processing Time + Ocean Transit Time + Final Mile Delivery Time.
5. Shipping Methods and Charges
Ocean Freight + Final Mile Delivery: This is the default shipping method for large, heavy, fragile, or oversized items. It is suitable for most custom furniture and lighting orders shipped to the United States.
Air Freight: Air freight may be available for selected products upon request, depending on size, weight, fragility, destination, and carrier availability.
Express Shipping: Express shipping may be available for selected smaller items upon request. Customers are responsible for express shipping fees and any applicable import taxes, duties, or clearance fees unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Oversized items, including items with a longest side greater than 36 inches, ship by ocean freight by default. Air upgrade may be available upon request and may require an additional charge.
6. U.S. Orders and International Destinations
This policy is primarily written for orders shipped to the United States.
For destinations outside the United States, please contact us before placing an order for a shipping quote and delivery estimate.
7. Taxes, Import Duties, and Customs
For standard ocean freight orders shipped to the United States, shipping costs and applicable import duties are included unless otherwise stated at checkout or agreed in writing.
For express shipping, air upgrades, special delivery requests, remote-area delivery, or destinations outside the United States, additional shipping fees, customs fees, duties, taxes, brokerage charges, or clearance fees may apply.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information and any information reasonably required for delivery or customs clearance.
8. Oversized Items and Delivery Appointments
Large furniture and lighting products may require delivery by truck or scheduled final-mile carrier.
Delivery may be curbside, threshold, or standard residential delivery depending on the carrier and destination. Indoor placement, stair carry, elevator handling, unpacking, assembly, installation, and debris removal are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address, driveway, doorway, hallway, stairway, elevator, and room access can accommodate the item dimensions and packaging size.
If a delivery appointment is missed, refused, delayed by the customer, or requires address changes after shipment, additional storage, redelivery, address correction, or carrier fees may apply.
9. Assembly and Installation Notice
All lighting products are shipped unassembled or partially assembled to ensure safe transportation.
Assembly may be required upon receipt. Our prices do not include installation, assembly, hardwiring, or electrical services.
Lighting fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician and in accordance with local electrical codes. Installation, assembly, and hardwiring services are not included.
10. Order Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placement.
Cancellations after 24 hours may incur a 5% fee to cover restocking, administrative costs, material preparation, or supplier charges.
Custom, made-to-order, modified-size, special-finish, and personalized items cannot be cancelled once materials have been ordered or production has begun. These items are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
11. Shipped Orders Cannot Be Cancelled
Once an order has shipped, it is no longer eligible for cancellation.
If the item is eligible for return after delivery, the return will be handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Shipping fees, customs fees, storage fees, redelivery fees, and other carrier charges may be non-refundable where applicable.
12. Changing Orders
If your order has not yet shipped, please contact us as soon as possible at support@ebuildhome.com.
We will make every effort to accommodate changes based on the production and shipping status of your order.
Changes to size, finish, color, customization details, delivery address, or shipping method may affect the price, production timeline, and delivery estimate.
13. Delivery Inspection, Damage, Defects, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order within 72 hours of delivery and contact us with photos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect.
If the outer packaging is visibly damaged at delivery, please note the damage on the delivery receipt or carrier signature record before signing, when possible.
To help us resolve damage, defect, or incorrect-item claims, please provide clear photos of the outer carton, shipping label, packaging materials, damaged area, and the full product.
Damage, defect, or incorrect-item claims should be reported within 72 hours of delivery so that we can work with the carrier, supplier, or production team promptly.
Please keep the original packaging until the claim is resolved.
14. Delays Outside Our Control
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Ebuildhome is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, port congestion, carrier delays, weather, natural disasters, labor disruptions, incorrect shipping information, customer unavailability, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a material delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide an updated estimate.
15. Returns
For post-delivery returns, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.
Custom, made-to-order, modified-size, special-finish, and personalized items are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
